This survey allows for monitoring of the activity of in-home nursing care services provided to dependent elderly people or handicapped people in their homes and in non-medical institutions. The collection of information will give the departments in charge of health and solidarities the elements necessary to define a policy for managing dependence of elderly and handicapped people at home. This information also interests the regional health agencies (ARS), specifically for the implementation of departmental schemes and local policies to benefit elderly people, as well as public authorities at all local levels.
