    <abstract contentType="purpose">To form the first French cohort of 3 generations of subjects who have scleroderma (SSc). To carry out HLA (human leukocyte antigen) genotyping for all subjects and family members so as to understand the relationship between HLA compatibility between SSc patients with and members of their family and to further study the role of microchimerism and maternal-foetal compatibility. To continue studies previously undertaken on the preponderance of autoimmune disease in women and to research new markers of SSc on a larger number of subjects.</abstract>
