Objectives of the register in terms of research - to study the epidemiology of cancers in Guadeloupe and in French Overseas D\u00e9partements in America (DFA) in collaboration with registers in Martinique and Guyana. - To identify specific public health problems from the register concerning regional malignancy in order to implement specific research protocols; - To investigate the territorial distribution of cancer (spatial heterogeneity) and possible association with areas containing the highest soil contamination of organochlorine pesticides and other environmental pollutants. - To identify other environmental, genetic or nutritional factors that may be involved in the onset of certain cancers in
